Lessons on History Skills

The Cunning History Teacher offers a unique and engaging way for middle school students to learn historical skills. Our lesson plans are designed to make history come alive for students, and to help them develop the critical thinking and research skills they need to succeed in their studies.

One of the key elements of our lesson plans is the use of primary sources. By working with original documents and artefacts, students are able to gain a deeper understanding of the past and to develop the ability to analyse and interpret historical information. Our lesson plans also include a focus on historical thinking skills such as cause and effect, continuity and change, and the use of evidence.

Another important aspect of our lesson plans is the use of hands-on activities and projects. These activities help students to make connections between the past and the present, and to develop the skills they need to become effective communicators and problem solvers. Our lesson plans also include a focus on the use of technology in the classroom, including the use of digital resources such as maps, images, and videos, to help students explore the past in new and exciting ways.

At The Cunning History Teacher, we understand that every student is unique and that different teaching methods work best for different learners. That’s why our lesson plans are flexible and can be easily adapted to meet the needs of any classroom.

In summary, The Cunning History Teacher offers a comprehensive and engaging approach to teaching historical skills to middle school students. Our lesson plans are designed to help students develop the critical thinking and research skills they need to succeed, and to make history come alive for them through the use of primary sources, hands-on activities, and technology.
