Gladiator

Gladiator Mini-Project

The Gladiator Mini-Project activity is an introduction lesson to life as a Roman Gladiator. This lesson can be used with the ‘Researching Tips for Searching the Internet’ PowerPoint as this will allow students to find information that would provide a deeper understanding of the topic. The focus of this lesson plan is for students to gain an understanding of what life would have been like for a gladiator during the Roman period. Roman gladiator games were held to commemorate military victories, to celebrate important days and even to distract citizens from the political and economic problems of the time. Gladiators were considered celebrities who fought for the enjoyment of others.
